As October wraps up, the Halifax real estate market continues to show strength, with the average sold price reaching $590K, marking a 9% increase from this time last year. The number of sales also saw a significant jump, up 20% compared to October 2023, reflecting strong demand despite seasonal trends. Inventory has increased slightly, with 1,032 homes for sale, a 6% boost year-over-year, while new listings rose 5%, keeping options a bit more fresh for buyers. Days on market remained steady at 32 days, showing that homes are still selling relatively quickly. Months of supply held close to last year at 2.5, maintaining that seller’s market we’ve been experiencing for some time now.
